Supports local family farmers and agriculture.

Green Cat Pet Litter is made in Massachusetts and Connecticut by local family farmer owned cooperatives working with Vee-Go Energy.  Because Green Cat Pet Litter is made from the inedible by-products created when processing grains into food, it does not compete with food crops. In fact, as we grow more food grains, we produce more inedible grain by-products and can manufacture more Green Cat Pet Litter.

Green Cat Pet Litter makes economic and environmental sense.

Green Cat Pet Litter is a by-product of food production so it requires minimal processing and energy consumption.  Because Green Cat Pet Litter is made from rapidly growing grains, it contains no wood or paper, does not contribute to deforestation, and does not require mining the earth.

All of the raw materials for Green Cat Pet Litter are purchased locally so less fossil fuels are used to transport them to you.   This means less pollution from transportation and more stable prices as fossil fuel prices increase dramatically in the near future.

At Vee-Go, an E2M Certified community conscious company, we are committed to creating a sustainable company, sustainable products, and a sustainable economy.

Therefore, Vee-Go has joined with E2M.org (www.e2m.org) to help build a better future through the creation of a sustainable economic community.

This is why Vee-Go has committed to donate ten percent (10%) of its corporate stock plus five percent  (5%) or more of its profits to the local community to be administered by the E2M Regional Economic Council of Western Massachusetts (E2M-REC). This body of citizens will use its funds to form more community owned companies, provide low interest loans to E2M certified companies and entrepreneurs, create affordable housing, fund youth educational and entrepreneurial programs, and other community building activities. Vee-Go will commit an additional five percent (5%) of its stock for employee stock purchases or profit sharing.

Every bag of Vee-Go Pellets you purchase will create more community wealth to address the social, economic, and environmental issues of our time.

Directions for use and maintenance of Green Cat Pet Litter:

  1. Pour two to three inches of Green Cat Pet Litter into your pet’s litter box. Some pets may require a short time to transition to Green Cat Pet Litter. In this case, place a one inch layer of Green Cat Pet Litter under your current litter to gradually convert your pet.
  2. To keep your home and cat’s environment clean and odor free, remove all solid waste every day or two then flush, compost, or place in trash.
  3. Every day or two, remove Green Cat Pet Litter which has absorbed urine. Simply scoop out urine contaminated litter and smaller clumps, place in toilet until completely soaked (10 to 20 minutes), then flush.  Break larger clumps before flushing.  Add more Green Cat Pet Litter to replace that which you removed.
  4. Change entire contents of litter box every two to four weeks. If you have multiple pets, you may need to follow these procedures more often.

Some dogs or other pets may be attracted to the natural products in Green Cat Pet Litter.

Although Green Cat Pet Litter is non-toxic if ingested, it is best to place litter box so it is not within easy reach of these pets.
